As many of you may already know, in the early morning hours of January 6, 2009, we were victims of a devastating fire. The four alarm blaze originated in a neighboring restaurant and engulfed the entire block, completely destroying El Pelón and the neighboring restaurants of Restaurant Row as well as the Dry Cleaners. We are extremely grateful that no one was seriously injured during this terrible tragedy.

We would like to thank the Boston Fire Department for their efforts and all of our loyal customers, friends, and neighbors for their overwhelming support. We are committed to re-opening as soon as possible and will be posting updates on our progress here and frequently checking our e-mail. Thank you again for your support and understanding during this difficult time.
